There has been 169 COERR volunteer groups working in the country and neighboring countries: 15 groups in Tharae-Nongsaeng Archdiocese; 18 in Udonthani Diocese; 12 in Ubonratchathani Diocese; 27 in Nakhon Sawan Diocese; 18 in Chieng Mai Diocese ; 5 in Chieng Rai Diocese; 12 in Bangkok Archdiocese; and 62 groups in Myanmar and Laos.
All volunteer groups had the same objectives of helping the poor and vulnerable in their own community. Activities of the active volunteer groups were livelihood program for income generation, visits to the sicks and poor elderly, especially the bed-ridden, and the vulnerable villagers.
In 2021, COERR had a policy to support some funds to each volunteer group for performing monthly calendar activities and had each group provide quarterly report to COERR.
During April-June 2021, many volunteer groups reported their on-going activities of visiting the poor elderly and the bed-ridden, providing food to the less fortunate and hungry villagers. Some groups also visited the poor children to follow up their livelihood program, in an aim to support children education, mainly in animal raising, vegetable growing, food selling, etc.
On May 5th, COERR Kanchanaburi monitored the income generation program of pig raising, mushroom growing, motorcycle repairing in Sangkhlaburi District, Kanchanaburi Province.
All these activities including motorcycle repair shop were in progress: Pigs had delivered piglets, harvested mushroom was available for selling.
On May 5th, Napho Volunteer Groups visited the elderly in the community and provided hair cut service.
On May 13th, the Group paid visit to the Sick and provided some funds to the Sick to get treatment at the hospital.
On May 13th, the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church (Paklad) Volunteer group and a number of youth joined the Sun Flower cultivation activities.
In May, the St. Mark Church volunteer group launched the cleaning activity around their houses and the church.
St. Francis Xavier Church Volunteer Group visited the poor and provided consumable supplies.
During April-June 2021, COERR Volunteers in Kho Yai Church, visited the Poor and Elderly and the livelihood program for children education in Ayutthaya Province.
On June 4th, Ban Napho Volunteer Group paid a visit to the poor elderly.
On June 7th, each of fifteen Volunteer Groups reported the growth of their 10 Hass Avocado seedings for self reliance, under Bishop Pibul Visitnondachai’s project
On June 9th, St. Anthony Church Volunteer Group in Cha Cherng Sao Province cooked food and distributed to the poor near the church
On June 10th, St. Mark Church Volunteer Group visited the villagers in Kampaeng Phet Province and released thousands of fish in the Villagers’ ponds for breeding.
On June 29th, Volunteer Group in Ban None Sawang, Nonekhoon District, Sisaket Province visited the poor and distributed face masks, and also helped mowing the church lawn.
